Where the **** do you guys park these days?

I used to park at the Chatham Center garage, I had a nice spot that I could get right out of onto fifth.. But I can't even get there anymore unless I'm a whole hour early.

Lately, I've been parking on the North Shore and taking the T over. I made the mistake of venturing toward the arena last night and I think I'm done even trying that.
also, dodint **** off when you complain about this thread

The last game I was at, roommate and I parked st the Greyhound station. I think it was like 10 bucks, but we also got down there at like 4:30.

My dad parks at the Boy Scout building on Bedford Ave. He said he got there at 5:45 last night. Unsure what time he left from the North Hills, but I would assume 5ish. We've also parked in the Liberty Ave garage that exits right onto either Clemente or Sarah Carson bridge.

We used to park in a lot on 5th that was down closer to some of those bars. It had a back exit that if you used you bypassed all the traffic heading back towards the parkway.

They closed off that back exit now though so it's not as nice.

Absolute disaster. Coming from the south hills, my best bet will be to go through the city and east, turn around and get on the boulevard of the allies inbound. From there I can cut thru the hill and on to center Ave above the lot

Thank you all for your contributions. I've been thinking about dodints garage the last couple times so I may try that but don't tell anyone. Otherwise it's North Shore and the T for me. Which, parking is only $5 there, it's not bad.

Looking forward to seeing you in the future organ music thread

When I went to the Canes game in December, we parked at corner of Pride and Forbes. Looked like a small church or something and you could park for whatever donation you wanted to give. Easy out onto Forbes and away we went.

I tend to park near UPMC Mercy for free. There are some alleyways and it's a bit sketchy, but I'm not the only one that does it. It's about a 15-20 minute walk, but I like walking and it's an easy exit after the game.

Bonus is if I go with my wife who has a parking pass at the Mercy garage.

you used to be able to drive in to the exit of the lower end of the locust street garage on the duquesne campus. the pressure sensor for exiting inside the garage was far enough outside the garage it woudl trigger and you could pull right in and park in the garage. i think theyve closed this loophole

I usually find some sketchy surface lot on Fifth. Traffic isn't nearly as bad on that side of the arena.

I usually park in those lots right across from the arena - but the T trip sounds nice.

edit: a 30 minute walk/ride to get to the car? Nevermind.

Maybe it's because I only go to a handful of games a year but I enjoy the walk. I'm trading sitting in a car staring at taillights at the arena for a walk and easy drive out.

Depends on the temperature. If it's 65, sure. If it's 20 funk that.

Right, getting pounded in that vortex tunnel of wind before I got to the T is something that is not pleasing.

I have a parking pass for the Gateway Center garage, so that's where I park. Back when I had season tickets, if I wanted more exercise, I would walk the whole way up to the arena. If I didn't, I'd ride the T up to Steel Plaza and walk from there. I want to say that the the Gateway Center garage is $10 in the evening, and the T station is right there.

This is what I do too. Right out across fifth, up Forbes, grab the Parkway east outbound off Second Ave I think it is.

I have an east lot pass for Saturday nights game and honestly I don't even know if I'll use it lol that lot seems nightmareish

I have a question for those a lot smarter than me. What's the point of Wylie Avenue, and why do the Shorkey surface lots not exit to it? Everything would flow SO much better if thays the case, right? Instead you have several thousand people standing at the Cambria hotel waiting to cross while you also have 3 lots and a garage worth of cars trying to exit the parking lots.
