I didn’t take notice of any until mid 2nd period. Was listening for it at times just because of this post. Could have done without the little kid screaming in my ear in the row behind me every time the video board said ‘scream’.

But, just for conversational purposes, I think what's going through Malkin's head is - that's a relatively flatfooted Jaccob Slavin...he's not the most technically skilled guy with the puck...maybe I can smoke him into a bobble - after all, I just knocked that D to D pass out of the area five seconds earlier...

The spacing, speed differential, situation, and all view of Slavin all weren't correct and we got what we deserved...but if I had to try to craft a thought process for Malkin, it's that...either that, or he had **** to do at 10:00, and couldn't be late...

Has to be. It’s a risky play but we all know that’s Malkin’s game.
