Rutta played on the same pairing as Hedman in the Stanley cup finals

Idiots everywhere: “he’s not even a third pairing guy!”

Everyone over at HFboards doesn't like the deal... so by default it's a good deal.

Here's the tricky part...TB's stud d-man was a LHS, ours is a RHS. So I guess Rutta babysits for Matheson, just a little bit of a different dynamic, not as strong of a partner...but we paid third pairing price for a good support guy.

I'm guessing we're at...

Dumo-Letang
Math-Rutta
POJ-Marino
Friedman

And we dump Pettersson somewhere. Maybe it's Marino given how many RHS we suddenly have. Maybe it's Marino for Conor Garland in Vancouver or some such...

This is a good get. Rutta dials his game up a few notches when it matters.

Yeah, I like both of those guys, but it's not like we won't need them at some point. Having Friedman and Rude as your 7 & 8 is excellent depth.

There is a poster ronduguayshair on HFBoards. Was he on lgp? He's a season ticket holder and roundly mocked by other posters. I don't see any other names on there that I recognize.

Huh, it said I exceeded the max number of logins on my first try (in months) with my saved password. Odd.

I only remember that user name; don't particularly recall anything he would post. "Puck Drama" was the name of the account that began to attack me in DMs.

There were so many outrage machines on that board. Back when people morons thought Vokoun should be the permanent starter, murphydumb once exploded at me because I said that Fleury was the guy, period.

He was correct fairly often but such a dadhole that you'd never ever admit it.

Yeah, like, he wasn't dumb...he knew the game. But he was just an unwell person with no ability to communicate with anyone effectively...

If you start all of your sentences with "Listen here assdick..." most people either tune the rest of the sentence out or, if they're reading, they're inclined to be biased against it...and that doesn't generate good conversation, it generates "gotcha" arguments...

I'm not even sure he was "right" about much, but he definitely was a prick.
