If you're referring to Murph, he's still on LGP. He definitely knows the game but that doesn't make him always right and someone else always wrong.I'm not even sure he was "right" about much, but he definitely was a prick.
I've been the recipient of a lot of his "rightness". The last being during a game, don't remember which one tho, when Jarry misplayed a puck behind the net and passed it to the opposing guy who promptly put in in the net. All I posted was "stay the hell in the net. That's your job". Murph got angered with me and told me that, since the trapazoid was initiated goalies need to know how to play the puck behind the net. All I said back was, "I get that but not with 3 opposing players and no teammates behind the net to help out. Stay in the net. That's what you're paid to do". HIs response was "dinosaur logic. Quit living in the past. Grow up and learn the game".
I'm long past him trying to get under my skin. He can't.

Yep. I misspell stuff just to get under his skin. There's another poster who misspells Rickard Rakell to Rikard Rackel. Murph gets all over him.Is he still really into being a grammar and spelling police officer?

i tend to tune out people who overuse ellipses...except you, mikey...i love you...no ****Yeah, like, he wasn't dumb...he knew the game. But he was just an unwell person with no ability to communicate with anyone effectively...
If you start all of your sentences with "Listen here assdick..." most people either tune the rest of the sentence out or, if they're reading, they're inclined to be biased against it...and that doesn't generate good conversation, it generates "gotcha" arguments...

There is a big profile article written by/about Rutta in "WITHOUT CLICHES" (the Czech equivalent of "Players Tribune").
It's called "The Renegade", and you can find it here:
https://www.bezfrazi.cz/pribehy/jan-rutta/odpadlik
Unlike many other great profile articles (I DeepL-translated a bunch of them here: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=3218), the Rutta piece is not that interesting (young troublemaker who could not make it even on the weakest Czech Extraleague teams - and then he got to the NHL).
Nevertheless, if you are interested in his story, copy/paste the article into DeepL:
https://www.deepl.com/translator
(just remember that the free version will allow you to process only 5,000 characters at one time)
Don't even try Google Translate. "Without Cliches" pieces use quite quite a lot of informal phrases - and DeepL is significantly better than Google handling those...

One of my favorites to use. I'm always scolded and told it's "offside", as is everyone else who uses it."offsides"
