Here you go, LL:I'm confident. Felt like a pretty dominant game and 3rd period. Special teams and goalie let them down but I expect a win game 7
Alright, I’m done moping.

I like the message, but it rings hollow to me because it’s Mears. I don’t know if he’s gotten worse or I’m just really sick of him at this point. Here you go, LL:I'm confident. Felt like a pretty dominant game and 3rd period. Special teams and goalie let them down but I expect a win game 7

He retaliated. Refs almost always call the 2nd guy. I understand why he did it but you have to be smarter than that up 2-0. It was a huge swing in momentum.
I'll add he retaliated with a shove that would be rise to the level of 2 in a post whistle scrum. It was a legit cross check (penalty) into the boards from behind (penalty).... a dangerous thing to do in a dangerous position. He gets up with the puck right there still and shoves the guy.He retaliated. Refs almost always call the 2nd guy. I understand why he did it but you have to be smarter than that up 2-0. I've had enough series where I play "What if"... decimate the Rangers lineup in the same way, and this series is over in 4... heck decimate most other teams lineup in the same way and I'm not sure how those teams even show up.When you’re always on the receiving end of the big hits, dirty hits, cheap shots, etc.. your chances of advancing through the playoffs with a healthy team go way down. Chances of losing an important player go up. Better to be the hammer than the nail. This is not a one year or one postseason fluke. This is many years running. Don’t need or want an enforcer but you have to be the team dishing at some punishment once in a while. Make the other team play shorthanded or play missing a star or two.
Agree the call was weak. It's a **** situation. Still think you just have to skate away on that.I'll add he retaliated with a shove that would be rise to the level of 2 in a post whistle scrum. I'm with Biz on this one - it's a weak call, and the Rangers continued to take a few more opportunities to board players from behind afterwards.
I agree.A lot of ERod bashing in this thread. And justifiably so. But you know what? Matheson’s high stick (which led to the Rag’s third goal) looked to be pretty careless to me.
bless louie and all but him just kneeling there like 'what do i do next?' on that last goal is a meme we probably haven't seen the last ofYup. 2 of the 4 goals Domingue gave up were because he is incapable of consistently glowing a puck down (the PPG people blamed Ruhwedel for, and the GWG).
All you need to do is make a save.
