well nhl… as you let your stars get taken out , continue being a 4th rate league… wasting opportunities since 1984
You mean 5th rate.

So ummm Trouba nails Sid in the head. Sid is out of the game. Nothing is called for the elbow to the head.

Geno pulls an asinine move and nails Rooney. He gets a 2 minute penalty. Rooney stays in the game.

Seems legit.

Scrambled brains don't have any telltale signs, Taylor.

It's protocol, so he likely wasn't going to return tonight either way. It's encouraging to see nothing visibly wrong IMO. I'm hoping for Jarry to return for game 6 also.

The hit wasn't that awful, his elbow was out because he went for a poke check. I bet he gets fined but not suspended

Coach calls team soft, team responds with cheap shots and head shots, injuring Sid. Penguins completely unravel because of it.
Yeah, not great. But that’s why some teams have that physical element. When we play the Islanders, we’re not getting out unscathed. When you play a playoff series against a team that thinks they can swing momentum with big hits, you might lose somebody in the process.

Awful for us and “the game of hockey” but if you’re a Ranger fan this is great. Throw a big hit, Rakell out for 5 games. Concuss Sid, change entire series. If either Ranger (Lindgren/Trouba) had chosen to poke check instead of play the body, Rakell and Sid would be in the lineup right now.

I think if Sid stays healthy we win this game. We were smothering them.

Somebody take a 2-handed chop to Trouba and Lindgren's face. Preferably Friedman so we don't feel like we lose too much with the subsequent suspension. And then skate over Gallant's wrist somehow. **** garbage fans and franchise.
I really dislike seeing headhunters get rewarded. The Pens up 2-0 had the W looking like a foregone conclusion.

Everything always has to be done the hard way.

Please, be OK, Sid. Please.

On the bright side, the Rangers threw everything at us and only won by a goal. And their Vezina goalie still gave up 3. If Sid isn’t dead, we got this

Yes. 100%.

Would’ve been great to see him avenged, though.

F it, make him sit a game. Would probably be better for all of us, including Geno

Well some folks appear to think him walking without a stretcher or something means he's fine. But you are welcome

I sure do miss the days of Stevens turning Kariya‘s brain to mush only for him to come back and score “off the floor on the board.” Who cares if his brain is broken and Kariya doesn’t remember any of it?
