Scrum in front of our goalie with forwards poking at DeSmith and it’s our defenseman receiving a facewash instead of dishing it out. Ah.

I mean if they get to the front of the net but still don't score. Mission accomplished. Facewashing does nothing but get 2 minutes sometimes.

The days of “clearing the crease” are over but the Pens make it a little too friendly and comfortable for the opponent. I could say that about many areas of the ice but hey.More so than other clubs...?

Also, why play against your strengths...our defense isn't super strong overall, so why have them in the trenches hacking away...they front pucks (like most teams), try to knock down shots and start transition...
Maybe a tough guy helps, maybe not...look at Colorado, they did that Josh Manson...he's a -11 since the deadline, on a team that has 11 double-digit plus players...
