I guess I dont understand the point you were trying to make RE: Rust. If he blocks a shot in the wrong spot through no fault of his own and breaks a bone, how is that held against him?

I guess I read your initial comment as "Don't try to sign him" and I disagree with that, regardless of how many times he hasn't played a full season.

It's not a Marian Gaborik or Beau Bennett type thing where he's constantly just hurting the same thing over and over (Gaborik) or just always injured (Bennett). And given that there hasn't been a Pens player in the last 15 years that hasn't dealt with injuries at some point, I don't think Rust's specific history will even factor into it.
