What we gave up for Zucker is really disheartening when you see him play

I've certainly expressed my lack of excitement with Rodrigues and his usage, but if he is the most dangerous offensive player, as he has been tonight, the Pens will lose on most night.

Our team is made of four 3rd lines. ERod has indeed been our most dangerous forward this season. Explains the amount of shots we generate and the lack of finish some nights.

I worry that our main advantage on most nights is “playing hard” but when we run into another team playing equally hard, we lose our advantage. The other team will typically have more high end skill, more physicality, better PP.

Disappointing given how they’d been playing lately and the crumb cake opponent.

Its one game, cool it.

Also, the shotkeeper at PPG needs to settle the **** down because there's no way the pens had 50

Josh Anderson is the exact player the Pens need. Too bad there are maybe 2 other guys like him in the league

I disagree. Anderson is quite inconsistent and that’s too big of a negative to deal with his obvious positive attributes. Pens need consistency and he does not provide it. If he brought it every game, I would be totally in agreement. Showing up once every 4 or 5 games just adds to our issues with 80% of the roster already doing that.

They have a bunch of third liners, yes, but on the flip side of that, each of their forwards is capable of popping a goal in at any moment. They have a lot of guys who will be in that 15-20 goal range. That type of team can win if they play a solid defensive-minded system and get great goaltending. Jarry has been up to the task. As for E-Rod, he's got his limitations. That's obvious. But this team would be at rock bottom without him this season, so leave him where he's at until his offensive production completely dries up. If he keeps producing, then you've found lightning in a bottle.
