Popped over on LGP for the fun of it and some are comparing Lebron James to David Duke. Seriously.

I’m pretty happy with this the new ownership though. We can’t really ask for a deeper pocketed ownership group who has tons of experience running successful sports franchises

Well both are racists.

As for the transaction itself, if 66 is still involved at some minority level, then it would seem to be best of both worlds.

Agreement signed, and now pending league approval. Per Pens facebook, expected to close by the end of the year.

The Facebook comments are, of course, well-considered and even-keeled. I may still be a fan when Lebron moves them to KC in five years.

I've seen people and reports stating that because FSG is worth $7B, they should be able to help the Penguins compete/spend more. I understand how that would work in baseball, but in a salary cap league where the Pens already spend to the cap, how exactly is that different than what we're doing now?

Also, change is scary.

Spend more on non-salaries? For example on scouting, AHL, etc?

This fanbase, like much of the city, is full of absolute morons.

I’m confused. People hate Lebron James this much???

I mean, Ron Burkle has serious ties to Epstein.

Over the years, we have been approached multiple times by various groups interested in purchasing the team but never found the right fit.
