Perron has a rib injury
Ehrhoff had multiple concussions
Malkin has little injuries
Letang vows to be back
Maatta reinjured shoulder on unlucky hit
Dupuis was going to try and play if the team made cup finals

Im sure the list will grow as the players reveal more during todays final meeting with the press.

Crosby showed up every game along with Hornqvist and most of the defense. No issue with him playing for Canada.

Not surprised Perron was hurt. Rib injuries suck. They restrict movement and impair breathing which will hinder shooting, passing and skating. I hope he comes back next year closer to how he played when we got him.

Yeah after he was ridiculously left off the olympic roster he went on to be the best player at the world championships.

how serious is Perron's rib injury?

I thought it would be something with his shoulders. He moved pretty well for a guy with bad ribs though

Im surprised there was no mention of Comeau with a wrist injury, or Adams with lip burn from the salty nacho chips in the press box.

Is there any upside to bringing Ehrhoff back?

The Pens need to find a way to make the PP better. Not sure if Ehrhoff can contribute? The Pens didnt use him on the PP when healhy.

Some, upside, yes. He is a top-four d-man with a cannon of a shot. It depends on the value...like anything else...

I'm hard pressed to see anyone wanting to commit to him after what happened this year. Off chance we could get him on another one year deal at 4 or sub 4 IMO.

Then again, he might think someone would give him a 2-year deal so he wants to explore FA, and given how dumb many GMs are, he might even get three years from someone.

Haha, Adams did not meet with the press on clean out day. Probably didn't want to answer retirement questions.

(Neither did Downie or Paul Martin).

Rib injury for Perron explains his reluctance to shoot.

I hope Duper can come back, but I hope he doesn't have a Kunitz-esque year if he does. That would be disappoint. :(

My concern with some of these injuries is that it clearly slowed several guys down, if they were identified within the timeframe to put them on LTIR to get cap relief then it should ahve been done. I (finally) know Letang and Ehrhoff couldn't but didn't Malkin get hurt vs the Bruins and Hornqvist the next day vs the Wings? Both missed the Devils game on March 17 which if they both go on LTIR then there was a month before the first playoff game and 12 regaular season games left. Then both would have been fresh and other guys could have been better rested. Instead we had banged up guys playing too many minutes because of other injuries.

Right, but they got into the playoffs in game 82. It's not like they could just sit back and relax.

If they had a full roster where no one was playing hurt they might have won a single game sooner.

Letang was actually kept out of the playoff series, despite feeling good enough to play.
Letang was ruled out for the Penguins' 4-1 series loss to the New York Rangers. He said he wanted to play in Game 1 on April 16, but doctors thought it was in his best interest to remain on the sidelines. Letang sustained the concussion when a hit from Arizona Coyotes forward Shane Doan forced him to hit the boards awkwardly during a 3-2 victory on March 28.

"I wanted to play real bad because I started to feel really good after two, three weeks," Letang said. "They just didn't allow me to play, and they wanted to make sure long-term that it was the right choice."
I am happy with the decision of the doctors.

Any news on the injuries Kuntiz had to cause him to look like garbage most of the time?
