Welp. Pens played their butts off again, but couldn't create enough offensively to bring the series back to Pittsburgh. Not much else to say. There are other threads to talk about the off season.

Very frustrating. This team gave the effort many of the previous teams did not on their way out the door, but they just didn't have the horses to get it done.

This is a series where the better team won, but it could have easily gone the other way with some luck. The series went exactly the way i predicted it would as far as w/l go, but they were in it way more than i expected. If you look at this as a team that is 1 year into coming together, this is something nice to build off of.

This series established in my mind that we shouldn't fire HCMJ...yet.

He definitely gave them a chance to be in a series that they probably had no business being competitive in. I like a lot of what he did this year, especially with the defensive play. The thing that worries me is offensively, they regressed. If he can find a way to have some balance and improve the power play they're not far off. Also, minus some of the lazy penalties they took, I thought he did a good job at improving their discipline. They didn't get caught up in a lot of post whistle stuff this series compared to the last few years. This series established in my mind that we shouldn't fire HCMJ...yet.

Heard McDonough told Chorney good job and to stick with it. Pretty cool of him.

I know this is shocking news, but Rutherford is not being fired (per the toobz).

and when Malkin or Crosby aren't moved hopefully this is when people finally realize not to even give Rossi a hint of attention and we can get rid of this wart in the media. That wont happen tho. He's probably got 100 Babcock stories lined up.I know this is shocking news, but Rutherford is not being fired (per the toobz).

Was it mentioned in the GDT how Comeau had a 1 on 1 with lundqvist but went full Minard and passed it to Geno?
You never go full Minard.

One predictable poster over at the old place blamed Fleury for not being able to win either 2-1 OT game as an example of his toxicity to the team.Fleury deserved better.
