They might as well give Cooke a tryout as well and try to reacquire Talbot... Get the old band back together.

...this is getting out of hand.

He's practicing with them. Not a tryout, not a contract. Pros do this.

Relax, Hugo. It's going to be okay. :D

What are the odds that Armstrong was the second best player on the team? Zero?

Scuderi and Kunitz and Columbus kept 20% of Saad's salary.

So I read something today that gives a little more clarity into the Cullen signing. It appears Sundqvists injury is more serious than originally thought. So you combine that with the fact that Fehr won't be coming back until late November, possibly December the Cullen signing makes much more sense.

Sundqvist skated today at the new practice facility. I don't think he is too hurt.

According to this, he's questionable for full fitness by next month. Could be a slow return thing.

GMJR says it was just a hamstring, and he didn't have surgery:

They aren't going to rush Sundqvist into the NHL especially after Rutherford took blame for rushing Bennett to fast last year. He needs some quality minutes in WBS.

I think it's pretty clear that Bennett wasn't rushed because he didn't get reinjured

he just sucked

I hate to say he sucked. Bennett has not had an easy road into the NHL with all his injury stuff. He was definitely less than impressive once coming back this season, but he's also showed flashes of being a serious contributor. I'm interested to see what he can do after supposedly doing some serious conditioning this off-season and having a healthy start to the season.

Bennett was rushed?
Apparently. It seems like if you give a prospect play time in the minors you are mishandling his development because you are not giving him a shot on the big club. However, if you give a prospect play time on the big club you are mishandling his development because you are not giving him play time in the minors. There is no side bar for a prospect spending most of his off-ice time whitening his teeth instead of hitting the gym.

Rutherford regretted not keeping him down in WBS longer. So, yes, he was rushed according to the GM and missed development time.

I think the kid is going to be good, but he has what, 1 game of pro North-Amercian hockey under his belt? He's only 21, let him get top 6 time to work on his offense and skating so he can develop into a really good third line center in a couple years and can step in then.
