At least from my seat, I put a lot of it on coaching decisions. First period was balls to the wall forecheck with every puck going toward the net. Second and third noticeably had less forecheck and the offense was being generated from the sides instead of the center of the ice. It wasn’t a complete defensive shell, but also very much seemed like a “lets make it so that two goals is enough” mindset while hoping you pop in an insurance for (which they almost did a couple times). Can’t let up like that. My heart can’t take it.
