It was on a goal review. I remember looking it up and seeing that it depended on the nature of the penalty. But I could have found bad info.

I'll take a stroll through the rulebook later maybe...

There is something somewhere about major and match penalties in weird situations I think...but I think for the offside review, I think everything counts...I've never reffed or coached in a league with video review, so I've never been brought up on the subject personally haha

The violent aspect of it makes sense. You won’t get too many men or holding penalties after a whistles called but you can definitely get a roughing or spearing penalty

Wish we saw a bit more of him, but I thought Big Z looked solid even without considering the goal. Unfortunately did not reach my pinnacle for scrub player debut, which remains Tom Kostopoulos. Never seen a no talent player work harder.

Looked more promising than a few other guys that are playing more regularly...hope he works himself into something...

I think that most players would play well their first few games since they try to show off and claim a spot.

How good are our "new" players? I mean, we have been facing the worst team in the league two games in a row, so we could have had meow in net without him looking too much out of place...

It will be interesting to see what big Z can do against the Islanders or Capitals...

The useage and contributions from Mathesson and Ceci are positive to me and make up for the butt hurt of not going after Vatanen.
I am on record as stating that I wanted to get rid of Hörnqvist before the last years of his contract to free up cap space, but we got $4.875 million until 2026. So it is some kind of consolation that Mathesson contributes.

best case for Buffalo is that they could become Florida or Arizona, where they overachieve during the regular season just enough to be swept in the first round.
