Ties the two in the standings. Need to start winning in regulation. One regulation win isn't enough.

I didn't even turn the game on because of how you people were carrying on about how awful it was.

Still handing out loser points, I see.

I was thinking during the third period. Not that goaltending is our only problem but.. I don't think there's a game this year yet where I'd say our goaltending was good. That's bad imo

I'll say this though, the past two games I've been on the Islanders feed and I enjoy their commentators. They do a great job without being far too biased.

I can breakdown why CDS is so good in shootouts in the morning. My three brain cells have had enough for today

Lowest amount of goals against has been 2, done only once

Third highest goals against average

Feels like the longest we’ve gone to start a season without a shutout

Sid. That was one of the sickest shootout goals I've ever seen. When you undress someone that bad it's not even flashy

I would agree. He's shown good timing of when to jump into the play. He's definitely got good instincts.

Ok. I watched the shootout twice this morning to finetune my thoughts. CDS has three nice things going for him that make him pretty pretty pretty good in the SO.
1. Skating. CDS is a very good skater. He matches pace with the shooter well. He keeps his feet anchored well. He keeps his weight centered well.
2. Moving to his right. He moves to his blocker side incredibly well. 99.999% of goalies move toward their glove side better than they move to their stick side.
3. Patience. He keeps his stance tight. He waits. He reads. He reacts.

Nothing too complicated here. Just some observations.

Geno's goal was the first goal with an extra skater in three years.

Couldnt agree more. Have to start beating some of these other "bubble teams" in regulation. Boston and Philly clearly the class of the field with the Caps probably solidly in third.
