I'm not defending Jim, if that's where we're going here...I'm one of the people that was principally confused by his no-angle, for-informational-purposes-only, not-labeled-for-retail-sale points that he offered before...

I'll take cocky content providing Jim over a lot of the hot takes posted here. Myself included.

I agree, it's nice to have some discussion. But part of discussion on the internets is people disagreeing, and judging a trade after 10 games is gonna spur some disagreement.

@Jim *cough*
I thought that lgp was the site with the stupid people.
To not paint us all with a broad brush, MR leads the league here in ax grinding for sure...for better or for worse...I assume he would freely admit that as well...
I have a really good memory. Sometimes it's a good thing, sometimes not as much.

Jim wants to call people stupid but based opinion of a new player on a 10 game sample size.

What was your opinion of Zucker before the trade, James?

Overpaid complementary player that didn't add much past mid-level scoring, not physical nor especially defensive (while not a liability). Low end 2nd tier or high 3rd tier (1st tier being superstar, etc; not a measurable scale).
At the time of the trade I would have put him (overall "what they bring-ness", not just hands) below Crosby, Malkin, Hornqvist, Rust, and *Guentzel... in a mix with Kahun and McCann. So somewhere between 6th and 8th on the team forwards.

Jake Guentzel goals per game this season: .51
Jason Zucker goals per game this season (with the Pens): .54

Guentzel: 0 goals over the last 10 games.
I wanted a good sample size.

The Wilds record is irrelevant to Zucker as a Pen
No, it isn't.
Well considering you said galchenyuk was not better than zucker, and the only difference between the wild roster today and pre-trade (relevant to this discussion) is that they added galchenyuk and dropped Zucker, then the only other possibility of what you're trying to say is that the wild are a better team because they no longer have zucker.
If that's not it, then providing the wild record post-trade is about on par with me posting my beer league team's record post zucker trade.

I guess Zucker's even strength points per game went up by about .3 yesterday
