Yep, I always thought it had to be pretty much a clear breakaway - the kind which would result in a penalty shot, if I'm correct..

Couple of things - HUGE win. Anyone with doubts as to who the best team captain in the league is should watch this game. Let's hope this is a confidence boost for Murray. He was spectacular after the early debacle. Once again, Blugers steps up big.

We joke about Simon but bottom line, this team really can't afford to lose any more forwards. There is nobody at WBS. The presence of Agozzino in the lineup alone should necessitate a trade for a depth forward or two. Waiting for all the guys to get back healthy looks like a pipe dream.

Now I think we legitimately may have a goalie controversy - one which I personally would be tempted to solve by going with a 60/40 split in starts.

What a game!!! Murray became a wall literally and emotionally. But the team toughness kept the goals against to 3. It was hitting but also then sticking and sometimes then grinding their helmets into the ice. Star power plus battle effort. So much good stuff happened this game. Chucky went nuts on Crosby's line. Unfortunately he seems like a brassard. Doesn't want to care unless he's here to be a star. But it could be interesting to see him try for a few games. Love watching hornqy with Crosby. they're like bread and butter and should stick. Enjoyed Rust and McCann with Malkin. And man the third line looks better and better. Blueger takes his faceoffs seriously and has good awareness. And Aston is pushing his contributions into the positive. Winning forechecks and being sturdy. Tanev is a momentum changer. Really really enjoyed that Johnson goal. Man.
