BIG BIG BIG BIGGGGGGGG WIN
Why was that final faceoff inside the zone if Stone wedged it into the safety netting himself with no deflection?

Can't say enough about Tanev overall, but that was an absolutely filthy pass by Letang to set him free on that breakaway.. and the whole sequence began when JMFJ knocked his his man off the puck and Blueger was there with the awareness to scoop it up and get it to Tanger.
Those of us who were harping on the team to take a more defensive approach after the way last season went, and start using good defense to create odd man rushes the other way - this type of play was a textbook example of how that is supposed to work.

Yeah, I'm not sure that was done correctly...I know they changed it so that if a puck hits the crossbar and goes out it stays inside...but I don't think the NHL has a rule for a shot that you just boofed...USA Hockey might, I feel like I've seen that before on the grounds that it was an "attempted shot"...but I really don't believe that's on the NHL books...BIG BIG BIG BIGGGGGGGG WIN

Then we lost the faceoff on the right side clean to boot...importance of a RHS center/faceoff taker...

Damn. Agozzino increased his ice time from his previous game by like 500%. Desperate times.

crossbar rule was a few years ago, I think they changed it this year to any shot attemptYeah, I'm not sure that was done correctly...I know they changed it so that if a puck hits the crossbar and goes out it stays inside...but I don't think the NHL has a rule for a shot that you just boofed...USA Hockey might, I feel like I've seen that before on the grounds that it was an "attempted shot"...but I really don't believe that's on the NHL books...BIG BIG BIG BIGGGGGGGG WIN

PUCK OUT OF BOUNDS: When the attacking team is responsible for the puck going out of play in the attacking zone, in all instances, the face-off will be conducted at one of the two face-off dots in the attacking zone.

Great win. Love Fleury but man, I agree with Beveridge. That stat line/shot discrepancy was nostalgic.
