Odd time for a goalie change. Wasn't Comrie touted as better than Murray and Jarry at some time?

Pretty easy to see why the arena is half full and the Wings are in dead last.

Just keep beating bad teams and racking up the points...there's a five point gap back to the first team outside the wild card (Canadiens) and one point behind the Flyers for 3rd.

Bad teams like the Blues and Coyotes.

I've never seen a 6'4" goalie make himself so small before. you watch TJ and his technique is spot on right now. he's not flailing around, putting himself out of position. you watch MM and he's the exact opposite. he practically looks like a giant wacky inflatable arm flailing tubeman.

He played above average for 99.9% of the game against the Wings. Goals one and two have little fault assigned to him. Goofy bounce on the first and a comedy of errors around him for the second. The third goal is a pretty clear example of a tender that is trying to lather up his confidence. A goalie with low confidence usually does one of two things - either be more aggressive towards shooters or way less aggressive. You can see him second guess himself on that goal. He wants to come out and challenge, then some traffic develops and he starts to slide back into the net. He gets caught in the middle and isn't set. If he is confident, get sticks that thing into the corner while taking a tug on his water bottle. I liked what I saw by and large from him, but he still has a little ways to go to get back to where we know he can be. Good thing his partner (not back-up) is lighting the frigging world on fire.

Jarry isn't a beacon of technique himslef, is he meow...? He's athletic and adventurous..feet seem to rarely be set when making a save...not very well anchored, but makes it work...

Correct. But Pittsburgh fans like that style. There was a guy here a few years back that played it loose and fast and was pretty pretty pretty good. Smiled a lot.
