Are we turning into Colorado of last year? One top line that produces and then a lot of guys that are motivated and annoying to play against? I like that we win, but the forward lines we have been rolling out are not exactly impressive on paper...

Then again, I usually say that decent talent and high motivation beats high talent with below average motivation.

I don't know man, it's hard to field an impressive lineup when five of your regular forwards are missing. That said, the non-impressives have scored a boatload of goals in the last three games, which, while probably non sustainable, somewhat undermines your point.

tbh, I'm shocked we're 5-2 and not 2-5. I fully expect us to hit a wall rather sooner than later with this depleted lineup, but I certainly don't mind being proven wrong. I'm having fun.

This team appears to be flat out working harder than they have in recent memory. Tanev has been everything needed and them some, screw the last couple years of the contract. Horny seems to be basically back to his old self, hopefully he can keep chipping in some goals. Lafferty has been noticable for what he is, etc. Guys are just buzzing around creating problems and actually winning puck battles and forcing errors.

Like mentioned above, I hope this is a bug that all the "regulars" catch, and I hope a few of these guys can sustain it so that perhaps it opens up a trade avenue to alleviate the log jam/cap crunch a bit sometime down the road this season.

Yeah, I recall, and rightfully so. He's had some really good games this year, and then has games like this where he forgets basic hockey. If we had lost last night, man.

Letang definitely fudged up the one goal. The other one, I actually think he made the right play. He slide over to front the center’s (Johnson?) guy because he had poor position on him. The Av’s wanted to turn it into a mini 2-on-1 and Letang recognized it and tried shutting it down. He made them make a difficult play to get a really high percentage shot instead of giving them an easy play to get a decent percentage shot.
