I don’t get their reasoning for this. JMFJ spent all preseason no higher than the third pairing and now suddenly he’s above Pettersson in the pecking order.

They're not trotting out a JMFJ/Gudbranson combo on the regular, atleast based on this pre game lineup for game #1 of the season, so theres that.

I don't read that as "above Pettersson"...it's just that JMFJ and BadBranson can't be a pairing...that's an instant and permanent minus situation. So each get a babysitter and they'll be deployed situationally...JJ-Jultzy in the offensive zone, inverse for the Ugly Swede and new 44...
