Galchenyuk (not physical, not defensive) had 41 points last year, Kessel had 46 ev points last year. You remember, even strength production that everyone whined about Kessel not producing. Kessel had 5 more ev points than (also) non-physical and non-defensive Galchenyuk had points total.
Galchenyuk had 92 points total over the last two seasons, 45 of which was PP.

Birks is the kind of guy that you trade for "fc's" to give him a chance to do anything in someone else's system before he realizes that he need to just give up and get a job in real estate or insurance.

Birks is the kind of guy that you trade for "fc's" to give him a chance to do anything in someone else's system before he realizes that he need to just give up and get a job in real estate or insurance.

... there’s a lot more to this than what you know... Pens did not like Phil frequenting a gambling establishment on game day... and with some of the youngsters... Phil basically lost his hunger so to speak as an athlete... toss out the stats and analytics... it’s a team game and chemistry does mean something... google the stillers

I think kessel’s power play scoring will be spread out across the other guys without much of a problem. I think his even strength scoring was dogshit for 2 years in a row when games started to matter.
We’re missing his ability to go into insane-o mode, though. It’s not insignificant.

I think kessel’s power play scoring will be spread out across the other guys without much of a problem. I think his even strength scoring was dogshit for 2 years in a row when games started to matter.
We’re missing his ability to go into insane-o mode, though. It’s not insignificant.
The power play is my concern. After Sid and Geno there are no real threats, especially from the left wing. This trade limits the ability to score.
