I assume so too...unless he makes the team.Addison will be back in the WHL next year.

They've been pumping this exact deal for a few days, if not longer. Fischer just seems too vanilla to bring in. It certainly makes sense, and Rossi said there was a possible deal last offseason for Kessel to Arizona. Take that with as many grains of salt as you prefer. Is this a thing? I think Arizona and Kessel make some sense actually...Don't be bringing that HF filth here...Would y'all trade Kessel for Christian Fischer and 14th overall?
My question is more: do we think picks are a reasonable return for some assets? I'm not so sure GMJR sees it that way...that guy can't buy green bananas, I can't imagine him moving Maatta for a 2nd and a 4th...

I haven't looked into him much but I'm going to hold off any excitement. Last two OFDs we took from the dub flopped...hard.I assume so too...unless he makes the team.Addison will be back in the WHL next year.

Ah...either way, I don't think it would actually happen. I'd think it would be more likely a couple of roster players would be involved...whether it be Fischer, or Hinistroza or Goligoski...I think that's more realistic than actually getting Kessel for a mid 1st...maybe for both sides...They've been pumping this exact deal for a few days, if not longer. So the Pens last first round draft pick was in 2014? Kasperi Kapanen? Wow. That's...not great.

5AF needs Kicksave for the Pens to win? This truly is the darkest timeline.Pens haven't won the cup since the board broke and we had to use Prosilver and didn't put up banner gifs for the playoff rounds.
Fix that and win the cup.

or maybe it's unrealistic to think that you should win the Cup every yearYep eventually you gotta pay the piper... and that pay day is coming fast.Well, they won 2 Cups since then, sooo...So the Pens last first round draft pick was in 2014? Kasperi Kapanen? Wow. That's...not great.

last year's playoffs was fine; obviously losing stinks but hte Caps were pretty good and we gave them a tough test. This season OBVIOUSLY was a large failure in the playoffs but there are so many factors and one playoff series is hard to make large franchise judgements off of

I was pissed (and said so in a post in the GDT) when Lehner was whacking away at Hornqvist while Hornqvist was getting held back by a linesman and an Isles player and **NO** Penguins player made it a point to go after Lehner for it. You don't have to be a Reaves or an Oleksiak to go pick a fight with anyone and goalies are not immune to getting a message sent to them. Instead, they just slink away from it and show they really had no heart.I had to google BDSM.
But after this series, it’s not like my take is looking worse. The one-sided application of wedgies in this series was hammered home last night. Guentzel getting the business by a scrub player was one thing. But later, Barzal made a play on net after the whistle, Bjugstad skates towards him, Barzal says “what” In a “frat boy dancing with your girlfriend and not giving a ****” fashion. And then Jugs just silently mopes away in the other direction. No word if horny was picking a fight with a hot dog vendor while this was happening.

Someone did try to chicken wing him on the way by later in the game...but they didn't get enough of him...I forget who it was though...
It's tough to strike that balance, because you're definitely getting an extra one there...down in an elimination game, that's a tough look. You gotta get back in the game, get back at him in game 5...

Retaliating immediately only ends up putting you shorthanded

So then you're killing a double minor or a 5 on 3.

Someone stands up there and takes that extra minor and all of a sudden, the Pens "lost their poise." It's a lose-lose

as it relates to this team: incorrectyou'll get revenge some other time
...but horny got himself into that mess by himself. if he gets whacked by a goalie because he spazzes out about 300% more than needed, then it's his medicine to take. the bigger issue is our top goal scorer being attacked by a scrub like clutterbuck and nobody blinks. that's a situation where there's a middle ground between "aw shucks" and taking an extra 2 minutes

Re: Kessel to Arizona. I really like Kessel and think that he fits into the Hall-of-very-good. That said, we really need to get younger and either faster or stronger (like all other teams want).
I guess they give us the finger if we ask for Kessel and Clayton Keller to be the center pieces of a deal. How deep is the draft? If it is deep, I could see the 14th pick and a roster player go our way for Kessel. But then I would really like to have talked it through with Arizona before the draft and that we can make the deal when pick number 14 comes upp if our target player is still available to pick.
