No such thing in the playoffs. Except in '09 against the Canes, and '16 against the Rags.

Morning skates on game day are optional about 100% of the time these days, because it's silly to have a full practice on game day.

Since I'm not a coach or pro athlete, I'don't know what is best for the team. But why even have an optional skate? Is that just for the hung over guys? Guess I'm just a "practice makes perfect" type of old guy.

I mean, some guys like the warmup...but really, it's just an old school way of enforcing conditioning and sweating out booze...
