Canes lose (is there a celly for that?) and BJ's lose. Helpful.

2 points. It wasn't pretty, but they got the job done. Lots of guys contributed tonight. Much better effort overall, and better puck management for the most part.

The first was ugly at best, second was terrific, and everything but Woods' goal in the third was good.

Patrick Hornqvist, in the past month, is not good.

When things aren’t going well for him he seems to press too hard and just make things worse.Patrick Hornqvist, in the past month, is not good.

Yeah, life's tough...a lot tougher for him with McCann and Bjugstad, two guys who can't control the pace of play or have any puck carrying ability...they're gonna have to play a real tight defensive game to be useful...

He looks off when he's on the power play as well. He's trying but it just isn't clicking.

Does Pearson still play for the Pens?

I've been impressed with Rude Beetle. His only games since November 19th were a 5 game stint in WBS where he John Slaney'd the AHL and even after that he came up and sat in the press box for 5 weeks, yet he has looked solid while logging much more ice time than I expected.

Can Malkin, horny and ZAR play together?
Kessel should be buried at the moment. And beyond, maybe.

I’ve never not liked him. He’s a perfect #7.I've been impressed with Rude Beetle. I want Rikola to get reps at 6 though.

I've always liked him. It's just extra impressive what he's done given the layoff.I’ve never not liked him. He’s a perfect #7.I've been impressed with Rude Beetle. Yeah, that's a combo that makes some sense...now that it seems like ZAR has some added dimension to his game, he'll find a way not to be lost/useless like many other previous Malkin lefties...Can Malkin, horny and ZAR play together?
Kessel should be buried at the moment. And beyond, maybe.
The trouble is how much pressure it puts on Malkin to carry the puck across multiple lines if Letang isn't on the ice...if no Letang, he won't be on the ice with any plus skaters or potential carriers...then he has two wings who basically only shoot...
It'd work better, I think, as a five-man unit backed by 8-58. That way ZAR/Hornqvist each have the green light, respectively, to drive the net each shift to make layered room for Malkin without having to worry about accounting for him defensively...Dumo and Letang has been exquisite defensively...
