As much as I think Sully suffers from a lack of introspection about the smell of his own flatulence, he’s in a real jam with this Malkin/Kessel situation.

He says thing A. These guys live unapologetically in the world of thing B. And what exactly do you do with that?

But this is also why I think he should only have 30 games or so left with this team. You can be a dynamite, well intentioned guy. If you’re oil, and your team is dragged down under water, you can’t coexist. Not every firing needs to be about performance. We’re in a time is of the essence situation. Take a look at what you are and make the best of it. No bonus points awarded for showing appreciation for past success.
