nah, Geno isn't a "repeat offender" under DoPS definition. he'll get the max fine but that's all.
Raffl deserves an Emmy for that sell job though. either way, one of the dumbest things I've ever seen Geno do.

Road wins are rarely pretty, especially this time of year. Murray earned this one though. Played his ass off. So did Letang. Hopefully Olli isn't hurt too bad. Huge win.

Voracek was uncharacteristically bad. He's usually a beast against us. And Flyer nation may want to hold off on that Vezina trophy for Hart after that performance tonight.

Par for the course. I was fine with the match penalty on Malkin, but to ignore the punch to the back of the head was absurd. I still think Geno only winds up with a single game suspension.

every morning I read posts on Hockey's Future. days like today I start typing stuff in the reply box but fortunately I usually delete it before actually posting. those people are morons and delusional.
I love Geno but that was perhaps the dumbest thing he's ever done. I still predict that he'll simply get max fine but if I ran DoPS he'd be sitting for awhile. of course though, if I did run DoPS players like Tom Wilson would be playing in European scrub leagues.

HF is mostly children who stare at their phones while the game is on and then comment on who is overrated based on Corsi...about 1% of that population has any clue about the game...

That's just recency bias and flair for hyperbole. Saying what Malkin did is worse than anything Wilson has ever done will get way more eyes on your post and create more discussion than just saying "He shouldn't have done that and he'll likely be punished in some way."

I saw a lot of people equating it to a baseball swing. a baseball swing would be a 2 hander. this wasn't even close. also saw people comparing it to McSorley. again, not even close.
it took me a long time to figure out that HF is the Jerry Springer Show of online forums, and not in a good way.

Yeah, I think anyone who has played knows what Malkin is doing...but ended up happening was worse than the original intent...he should be disciplined for that...but let's not go all millennial here and go "this is the worst thing that's evar happened!" ...you can give up a few games even, and I won't be upset...

I don't have a lot of patience for guys using their stick as a weapon...
