Things making hockey less fun to watch:

1. No more physical play. Almost no hitting. No fights.
2. Incredible amount of blocked shots.
3. Emphasis on speed has resulted in boring/generic lineups.

Even shots that result in goals typically bounce off somebody or something before going in. Game is looking more and more like soccer all the time. Really hard to get into a game when there is no intensity. Watching a 60 minute game with a flatline heartrate regardless of situation, opponent, or score is such a far cry from how this sport used to make me feel.
