It’s obvious they don’t care what Sullivan says. As soon as Phil is taken off Geno’s line he goes into Operation Shutdown.

also curious that he doesn't put a Maatta or someone on the point just to make sure there is some that knows where the d zone is

Yea I mean, if they aren’t changing, make the change for them. The PP hasn’t been great lately anyways.

It is interesting that he went public with this. To me that is a little disconcerting. Usually that’s the nuclear option for a lot of coaches, especially someone like Sullivan who basically pushed out Ian Cole because he was too open with the media. I just hope they aren’t doing what they usually do every few years and tune out a coach until he gets fired. As much as I have questioned Sullys decisions this year, he isn’t bylsma or therrian or Johnston....he’s a good coach we need to keep

But is he? It seems like the majority of specifics that one can mention point the other way. Very questionable line combinations, special teams decisions, who gets preferred treatment, who gets ostracized and why, inflexibility, etc.

Didn't you just the other day point out to the plebs that the people in charge know what they're doing?

I'm so mad right now that my list of untouchables on the team, including the coaching staff, is down to one guy.
Pearson?

I don't recall giving a thumbs up to anything (I may have been drinking though) However, I am relatively okay with the GM crew, but I have been critical to very critical about Sullivan nearly from his start.

Really, though? Sullivan got this team to completely turn around their entire mindset in the postseason. Something that had never been done in the entire Crosby era.

He’s made questionable (to me) choices, but I certainly wouldn’t fire him.

I'm not ready to give up. Lots of time left to turn this around. I will remain a Penguin fan and watch the games no matter where we end up. I've been through some pretty bad years since the 70's. Not sure what will happen this year, but I will hang in to the bitter end.

With age, I also have gotten very impatient about many many things. The list is several pages long. Just ask my wife and kids. The Pens just don't happen to be in my impatience bucket.

Guentzel - Crosby - Simon
Pearson - Malkin - Kessel
Rust - Brassard - Hornqvist
Grant - Sheahan - Reese

Letang - Dumoulin
Maatta - Oleksiak
Thoughts - Prayers

I don't see what is so hard about putting this lineup out there. That forward group is excellent, the first 2 defense pairings are good. It's obvious, however, that this team has a need on defense, even with Schultz back.

In the regular season, that lineup should be able to win more games than they lose, and yet, they are 4-12 in their last 16. Some of the blame must fall on the coaching staff at this point.

Simon on the first line? Terrible lineup, try again.

Well, flip Simon and Hornqvist then, but Sid allegedly prefers Simon there, so that's why I've got my lines like that.

Oleksiak does not belong in the top 4 by any means, but he's light years better than JMFJ right now, so he's the best they've got.

Simon is one of the few who has been above expectations this year, right? I can't imagine being disappointed with him this year...I felt like half the board wanted him waived last year for no apparent reason...

I can't believe that the Brassard trade looks worse this year than last.

A friend of mine told me that last night. I didn't have a counter argument.

Wut.

When Brassard is in the lineup with Sid and Geno, the Pens are like 8-2-3 this year.
