Great team effort. I had more issue with Scheifele's second goal than Tanev's. Hellebuyck gets the award for biggest softie of the night from Grant. Sid and Simon have some mojo going. The 'Peg is scary

Not yet. But he's a good player who is coming along nicely...Duper got so good he could take on F1 defensive responsibilities and reliably play after every power play shift...Simon has more upside skill wise, not sure if he'll ever be as responsible as Dupuis...depends on how hard he works at his craft and in what direction he works...he could have a lot worse influences in this regard than 87 and 72...

Yeah, Duper won so many puck battles and was very disruptive to opposing defenders in the offensive zone.. not sure Simon will approach that level of awareness. But it's a good bet he'll score more goals.

Getting goals from the bottom 6 was huge, obviously, but they did more than just score. The PK was critical early in the game, and they created several turnovers that led to long cycles in the offensive zone. That's the best form of defense, a good forecheck.

Based purely on the DTMTS.com highlights, DeSmith had an off night. That Scheifele goal was trash.

When the puck is outside the dots, it is real easy to get off your angle if you are as aggressive as DeSmith is there. There is no need to be three feet outside your crease in that situation.

The worst part of that goal is the timing of it.
