This team is fairly deep on paper, but as long as Brassard and Schultz are missing, and the bottom six, including Hagelin and even Hornqvist, does next to nothing, and half the D seems to have forgotten how to play, or never knew how to do it in the first place, they'll be overmatched in pretty much every single game their big guns don't put them on their backs. But I'm sure one of these days Garrett Wilson will pick up his first NHL point.

Jim Rutherford is an old school guy, he believes in making a trade to shake up a team that is under-performing...this is where I would like to see us use Sprong if we're ever gonna use him at all...you got a guy now in rumors, he's not playing, you're coming up on American Thanksgiving and the quarter pole, and you have a grand total of ten goals in your last six games...

Finding out what you have or don't have in Sprong now makes a lot of sense...this could be a found wallet for us...don't make the same mistake that Nashville did with a very similar player in Pontus Åberg...let's get some time to figure this thing out, no Brassard, no Schultz, so some transition is lost there...there might not be a better time...find a way HCMS, if you can insulate Sheary, you can definitely insulate Sprong...

I've actually liked the Wilson - Cullen - ZAR line. They've dominanted ARZ and NJ's fourth units. Sheahan has had some chances, but they have been a situation where he gets off a miracle shot from a 1-on-2 or something. Rust needs a goal or two to get rolling. I think he can play with Sid, but his confidence is **** - much like the rest of the team

on goals 1 and 3 Letang hung his D partner out to dry. on both goals all I thought was, "where the hell was 58??"
Letang was -4. I think overall Letang's been better this season but lately he's taking chances at all the wrong times.
