Brief thoughts (c&p'd) from another interaction months ago...

I'm not sure how much better he is - relatively speaking - from when he was in the Dub. He really never developed a dynamic skill set. He can skate and even carry it, but he can't beat anyone. He requires open ice. He finds shooting lanes well and has a good shot but he never really developed anything that allowed him to beat a man. He turns puck over a lot because of this flaw. What looked like the makings of another Brian Campbell maybe, plateaued early on and was passed over on depth charts heretofore. Still not very strong either.

Good move for depth. He's 27, so he is what he is at this point. Still, the guy has played the equivalent of a full NHL season in his career (84 games) and has 8 goals and 24 points, which certainly isn't terrible. Seems like a serviceable 7th or 8th guy.
