Ideal scenario: Bolts sweep Caps, GKs win in 7 in the finals

I thought I'd feel worse, but I guess they didn't play well enough for me to feel bad. Here's hoping for a better 2018-19.

I think this has more to do with the depth being banged up. 71 and 81 for sure. Brassard looks hurt, and a few other guys just didn’t have jump

Good thing we got Big Game Brass at the deadline instead of some defense. **** the front office.

Boys, you’ve played more hockey over the past few years than any other team. Get some rest.
Brass was a good acquisition. Any defenseman acquired at the deadline wouldn't have been taking minutes away from Letang, so it wouldn't have mattered.

It happened too fast to comment - is that a legit thing ‘running a goalie and it’s incidental’? That doesn’t compute.
On replay, the defenseman shoved him into Murray. I’m not getting worked up over it

Same. Whole season felt off beginning with drubbing Chicago laid on them early on. think we're about to find out Phil/Brassard/Geno played with significant injuries. And if that's not the case then I blame fatigue and the absence of pinball
google pinball you millenial ****sticks :D

And there's your fatal mistake. It was destined to be this year.

I don't hate the Caps anymore, really, since back-to-back Cups and a lifetime of Pens domination have rendered Wash just an afterthought. It'll be harder for more folks here, apparently.

Washington was better this year, was better in the playoffs, and deserved to win, all things considered.

Great run, boys. You made history.

Get some sleep.

See ya in the fall.
The caps blow. Letang and Murray cost them this series.
I get the frustration. However,

The Caps don't blow; they're excellent. Super solid hockey.
Letang and Murray were awful in many spots...here's whoelse was awful in many spots, and/or injured:
Malkin
Rust
Sheary
Brassard
Kessel
Hagelin

We also lost a ton of veteran leadership in the offseason.

Like most everything else in life, several factors contributed to the outcome in front of us.

Dude. I’m not frustrated. The capitals blow. They’ll get destroyed next round.
No, they're excellent. They still might get destroyed, but they don't blow.

Watched a few of the games from their perspective. A lot of attributes that Pens had in their Cup runs.

Goodnight, everyone.

I really thought that somehow we'd force the game 7.

I'm going to be mumbling "Shoot the damn puck" in my sleep until Memorial Day.

I'm still sad. I really, really hate the Capitals.

Yeah I’m done with you. Tampa isn’t going to have a defenseman **** himself ten times a game. That’s literally one of the main reasons they scored goals.

I think it's pretty normal. How could we possibly be upset given what they've accomplished the last two seasons? And, we still have 87/71/81 coming back next year. Life is good and the Caps will not win the Cup.

They didn't 3elieve enough.

The same people tonight made the same mistakes that they had made multiple times this year, especially this series.

Same. It’s so strange. I just saw how dead these guys looked and I felt that they were done.

Malkin could barely skate, Kessel couldn’t shoot, brassard didn’t play. Even Guentzal looked completely gassed in this game

You can be done with me all you want, but it doesn't change anything about the Caps being better than us or the other dozen problems we had in the series.

Nine straight series wins what a glorious run...if I'm not mistaken, we had won more playoff series consecutively than the Caps have in the entire Ovechkin era combined...

I wish the Caps nothing but misfortune and misery. I'd really, really like a Tampa sweep...

Have our boys get some sleep and come out ready for next season...nothing wrong with 3 Cups in 4 years...
