Caps are 8-9 after losing game 1. They’re also 7-16 when they win game 1. Uh oh. They have us just where they want us.
They’re due.

Jake has 7 goals and 9 assists for 16 points in 7 games. He's an absolute machine. Glad he is still on his ELC next season because he gon get paid.

Maybe. Unfortunately two shots to the same quad of the net that happened to be 'unstoppable' got to him. Just unlucky that way.
You're doing it and I wish you wouldn't do it
Eh, I mean, I know.

But the homerism that comes with saying the only two goals a team gives up were 'unstoppable' is just as bitter to me as my writing is to you.

They don't win that game without that stellar effort from Murray, though. I'm happy to say.
The first goal was far from unstoppable. But. It is a breakaway from a highly highly skilled player as the first shot of the game 30 seconds in. Who gives a sht where it went in the net.

The OV shot. That’s as unstoppable as a shot can be. Right by Murray’s ear off the rush coming from the most deadly shooter to ever live.

Greatest goal scorer of our generation scores a laser beam of a goal. More at 11.

And yes, it is hyperbole to say make a statement like "that shot was unstoppable" about his goals allowed. But, hyperbole is where we all live nowadays.

Is this the pens equivalent of the pdt? Dodint keeping the fans honest about the quality of the first two goals in the wake of a rousing 3-2 comeback playoff win where Murray made 32 of 34 saves? Very worthwhile endeavor imo

Right. Not really sure what the point is of bemoaning a breakaway goal and a 2-on-1 goal given up, especially considering the 2-0 comeback win AND the multiple game-saving stops Murray made that by all rights should've been goals.

Being a Murray skeptic at this point must cause some uncomfortable brain activity.

How good would this team be if it had a decent coach?

Ehh at the end of the day if 3 is all they end up with I think everyone will look back on this era and be pretty happy.

But probably 5 to answer your question

Based on what we're seeing now? It's hard to think they shouldn't have won atleast one more between 2012 & 2015. And the fact that they only made one run past the second round those years does not speak well for the suits running the team then.

I'll never get over Dupuis over Jarome Arthur-Leigh Adekunle Tij Junior Elvis Iginla on the RW.
