I saw they were expected to miss. Some men just want to see the world burn.Murray and Maatta were "expected" to miss practice, according to PensInsideScoop. I sure as hell hope that they're just maintenance days or precautionary. I can't recall a single instance of either of them so much as being bumped.

Coach Mike Sullivan said that Murray and Maatta are both taking maintenance days today.

Yes the "nice part" is wherever the person you are talking to is from, somehow. There is one nice part of New Jersey.I actually live in a nice little Norman Rockwellesque insulated bubble of a community. Very quiet and very pretty. There is no nice part of New Jersey.he's from the nice part of jersey okay?

"A win is a win," said goaltender Matt Murray, whose 24-save shutout extended his franchise-record shutout streak to 206:26. "We'll take it. In the playoffs it doesn't matter whether you win 7-0 or 1-0 in overtime, it resets after that. We'll take the win and move on."
Crosby echoed that sentiment.
"It's one game. Whether it's 7-0 or 1-0 in double overtime, it's one game," Crosby said. "A big part in the playoffs is to get better every game and adjust. That's the way you have to look at it."

Yea...we never asked for gifts. I think people that ask for gifts at an engagement party are dumb. I also would have a party at a bar so, the game would have likely been on.We had an informal party, it certainly wasn't a gift giving thing. You are having a wedding. You don't need another party to ask for gifts. It's dumb. Just my opinion.I don't see why they are dumb, they aren't obligatory, but I don't see why they aren't cause for celebration.Engagement parties are dumb in general and should never happen. If he was skipping a wedding sure, but an engagement party? That shouldn't even be a thing.
I see that as a terrible move but respect your opinion.

You think his resiliency and composure is an actual character trait rather than coincidence? I haven’t been sure so far.I’m not sure the awesomeness of Matt Murray is fully appreciated by the fan base

In ‘16, he looked like the longer we played the worse he was going to get - despite not losing 2 in a row or whatever it was. I didn’t trust him, and I think his success was more luck than the popular narrative indicates.wutYou think his resiliency and composure is an actual character trait rather than coincidence? He’s obviously improved since then. He had an awesome year last year, but was very uneven this year.
All I’m saying is that the guy hasn’t been steady Eddie since day 1. I’m still not 100% positive he’s just “got it” as opposed to benefiting from part talent part good fortune. I’m like 95%, though.

I hear you dude. Our daughter likes to have "family" time in her room, which involves both of us laying in bed with her. Eventually one of us can slip out, but she likes to roam the halls if she realizes that one or both of us fell asleep before her. Thankfully the game last night wasn't close by the time I put her to bed.Bed time **** with the kids lasts from 7-8 every night. Without exception. Our dynasty overlapping with me having small children has been poor timing. Not to mention my kids are gonna grow up in the post-Crosby era. And considering where we live, if the flyers are good when we aren’t...things could go poorly.
I too am worried about the Flyers influence...my brother-in-law thought it was funny to try and teach her to root for the Flyers and sing "Fly Eagles Fly". I told him pretty sternly that was not his place to do that, sports are srs bsns.

My dad's side of the family are all Cleveland fans and my mom's side Pittsburgh fans. I'm glad my mom's side of the family had the bigger influence

No, that's one thing my dad and I have in common. He was plastered when we went to Game 6 of the SCF in 2009.

Which goal was more spectacular? Geno's slalom or Sid's RBI single?

Tough call...the goaltending on Geno's goal is pretty meh, but he works the entire team and ice fresh out of the penalty bench...
Sid is getting D'd up and still just slams it home like it's no big deal...
I'll go with Geno's...he has to rush the rink, in a playoff game, where the Flyers actually looked good numerically for most of the game and then has to make that backhand shot to the far post...that goal was also more important, as it really had to put a lot of doubt in the Philadelphia cause...that was, what, 14 minutes into the game and you're down 3-0 after not getting a shot on a power play...talk about feeling like you don't belong...
