Hard to believe we are watching an aging star now.
I did not realize this is still only the age 30 and 31 season for Crosby and Malkin respectively. I was viewing the 34 and 35 season as the sort of tip of the iceberg of their reign. So that's still five more playoff ops in my view.

Huh, no Ovechkin. Doing some quick math, looks like he just did it 8 games ago for a grand total of 979 games.

I don't care what era it was, a defenseman getting to a 1000 points in 856 games is **** insane. Paul Coffey was a beast. Still hoping for a big end to the season for Sid that puts him ahead of Ovechkin. 7 points behind despite 137 less games played. If Sid had played as many games as Ovechkin we would be talking about him closing in on 1300 already.

Oh I totally agree. It just seems like yesterday that they were the "young guns", as it were.

Caps would want a do-over on that GR8 pick? Maybe not, just from a marketing/ticket sales standpoint.

He fits their franchise better. Plenty of flash, no cups.
