He’s playing with Sheahan and Kuhn. What do you want from him?
You know very well why he's playing with Sheahan and Kuhn.
Because he’s our 8th best winger?

sheary has been nightmare fuel lately, but he's looked like a very good 4th liner over the last couple games. falling down and fumbling passes is a problem in the top 6. but there's extra allowance when the alternative is carter rowney.

i realize that his salary is not congruent with his current role, but our 4th line looks pretty awesome right now. and he's part of it.

I hope he regains his confidence and has some good things happen for him, because he can be pretty effective when he, um, puts his mind to it.

The way you put it, it sounded as if you thought he's miscast.

This is Sheary. Mr. Inconsistent

He’ll be beside Sid again, but he’s fine where he is right now. He’s a confidence guy and he needs to build it back up. Wasting some fourth liners for awhile is a good way to do that.

I would have to disagree. I thought the 4th line looked fairly atrocious last night. Or maybe I just remember the bad shifts, like the one that led to the Flames first goal.

Two more stray notes...

-Rust and Guentzel are really freaking good. Like...really good.
-I can't believe how little I knew about Brassard, considering how often we've played him. He's so skilled, it's ridiculous. This trade might blow up on us this year as we lose 8-6 games to philly in round 1, but it is really a treat to see him try all this crazy sh** every night.

And we have him for a 3 million dollar cap hit for next season :thumb:

i'm under the assumption that not playing defense was a team choice, and the 4th line went along with it begrudgingly. yes. this is now the story.

I'm not sure how the broadcast was, but the Hockey is for Everyone stuff wasn't really overt at all in the arena. The programs were rainbow colored, Matt Murray did a jumbotron PSA with his stick taped as a rainbow, and the crowd cam kept coming back to the one person that had a rainbow flag. That was pretty much it. The Facebook stuff was completely overblown unless there was stuff on the broadcast that was really in your face.

The coolest part of the night was when they did the anthems they brought out a bunch of sled hockey players, 'special' hockey players, a blind hockey player, and some kids from the local hockey outreach programs. Was actually pretty awesome.

Any social media post was blasted by the bigots whining that their favorite hockey team supports LGBTQ. How dare they. I'm assuming these are the same people who post **** like "ALL lives matter."

Agree on all of this. It would have been easy to not have any idea this was a thing if you just went to the game.

yeah, every scoring chance, pass, clear...they were centimeters off. i actually think that's a good sign. just re-calibrating for the final push.

I think he plays better when he's not trying to keep up with Sid. While he did perform well for a stretch, it seemed like he kinda forgot the simple stuff that got him the call up and his performance suffered. He seems to have made it back to the smart plays, and it shows.
