Call unsportsmanlike like on Tavares. Weak call for another.

There's no controversy unless it's a water bottle and Sid involved.

Phil, you've been playing hockey for how long...? You don't make that pass haha...
Yeah, I thought that when I saw him launch it, but still, that's weak. I look forward to seeing that call made moving forward the 30 or 40 times it happens in every single game.

Also, Sheary just passed it from the high slot to Crosby on the goal line. **** him.

haha, suck it, Isles.

I get it...but you gave them a reason to make that call, so they took it...there's nothing else going on, there's six total players on the rink, there's no other action but that pass on a recoil. It's the right call because it's a direct substitute that touched it.

Yeah, Sheary never had any intent on shooting that puck, as soon as he got it he was looking to pass...he's just not feeling it right now...he's in his own head...

And all right, Sid...way to pull it out of the fire...big W.

Props to the salt of the earth work from the iron three: Sheahan, Kuhnhackl and Dumoulin...with support from Rust, Hagelin and Maatta on that PK...that's a right spot and the Isles - though very uncreatively - were out done by those fine folks...

Heh...Jarry is an active and smart goaltender who can skate (first goal, sigh...), he wants that cover on the apron and I don't blame him...would I have the walnuts to be standing like that in an overtime...no way...but the guy plays what he calculates to be the best play, no matter the aggression level...

<Edzo>For all you young hockey players out there,</Edzo> that's a pin. You put the blade of your stick over top of the puck and get a whistle there whenever you can...make the game predictable, that piece of rink furniture in that scenario does not provide a predictable outcome, so if you're defending there, you do whatever you need to do to get that (usually) quick whistle with the puck on the back of the net...

I don’t know what his plan was there... which is a rare thing for me to say regarding a goalie’s decision

Must be stressful being Rowney. You don’t know if you’ll make a couple hundred grand or a couple dozen grand from here on out. Don’t know if you’ll be an every night guy. An occasional guy. Or if you’ll even see the ice again.

Anyways...I think everyone had a good game. This was a 6-1 game with a broken scoreboard.
