So here's the deal (or no deal, if you will)...basically, the Pens and Sens were "laundering" money through Vegas and the league didn't like the idea of just leaving a money trail behind without the player being on a roster/reserve list for a whole day. That opens up a precedent where you could circumvent the cap for a given league day - or a point in time during a league day. They want the deal or deals, as I think we might get some separation here to be respectively compliant for a whole league day. Creative GMing is my favorite GMing. But this obviously crossed the line. Cole and Reaves are healthy scratches tonight, I suspect they have played their last games as Penguins...

Tampa retained on Streit last year without flack from the league. How do the justify completely nixing similar this year?
