I think Sprong doesn’t care (about defense). If the answer is that they know they can’t change that, please give me Letang + Sprong + #1 for Karlsson. Even if they think that they can change Sprong, I still want that deal.
i know nothing about this sort of thing, but i'd wager there's an element of peer pressure and sid pressure for people to come up playing the right way on this team. if thats the case, i dont think they know what sprong even is yet

Errey can see quiet??

"This is the quietest I've seen it here."
Heard him say "Sometimes it's what you do before the goal that makes the goal easier [to score]."

Getting close to going full John Madden.

I wouldn't be able to schedule out enough time to see them race each other, that's for true...
Are you saying that if they each raced a pregnant woman, they'd finish 3rd?

It doesn't seem like long ago that the Pens were second to last in goal differential...well, they are up to 11th or so in the league now, which is impressive considering their start to the year. What a time to be alive.

Sprong's not a dummy...

And ZAR better be smart, he's slower than Hornqvist...maybe...

I wouldn't be able to schedule out enough time to see them race each other, that's for true...
who sticks out as unsmart in our forward group? is there anyone?
Sticks out? Meh, not really...Sheahan isn't the smartest player I have seen though...

Some are making a big deal about Sprong not being the lineup...I would not read as much into that as some are...really young skilled player, they're just going through a good development situation for him...I thought he did well up here, but I think you end up with a better product down the line with a slower cook...we aren't hurtin for talent here...

As much as I would like to see Sprong here, I’d rather mikey’s “slow cooker” approach if that means the next time Sprong gets called up it’s for good and it’s a plug and play on one of the top two lines and we get 20+ goals rather than him taking his lumps on the third or fourth line where he has no business playing.

Sheahan from Oleksiak, Guentzel
Dumoulin from Malkin, Rust
Sheahan from Guentzel, Oleksiak
Aston-Reese from Hunwick, Letang
Guentzel from Maatta
Convincing win and only had to rely on 1 point from the three headed monster. :thumb:

Between Malkin, Crosby, and Kessel, I think they only combined for one shot.

No way...Malkin had that slapshot late in the 3rd, Crosby had a shot on a chance in close...I can't think of any Kessel shots that got through on net, but I'd bet dollars to donuts that Crosby and Malkin each had at least one...no?

Malkin was credited with 2
Sid was credited with 1
Kessel was not credited with a SOG.

I blame the Blue Jackets beat writer who was retweeted into my feed saying otherwise.

This was the first time since November 16th (and only the third time this season) that Phil was held without a shot.

Sprong could have gotten at least 1 shot off. Trade Phil.
