Yea playing Kuhn 12 minutes to ZAR's 6 while Sprong stays in WBS doesn't make a damn bit of sense. Kuhn doesn't belong anywhere but the 4th line. Fully expect to be shut out on Tuesday.

After the Caps game Sullivan was asked about the PP. He straight out said that they don't coach the PP, they let the players do what they want. The PP was the only big feather in the coaching cap. Considering all of the questionable coaching decisions that are apparent, and considering that they biggest plus is not a coaching thing at all... Maybe the Pens are winning in spite of the coaching as opposed to because of it.

Or it takes a really good coach to recognize that his players have the ability to run their own powerplay and they’re better off doing that than trying to force a bunch of creative players to conform to a coach’s system. Heh, he says that, but they coach it. How hands on they are, you can talk about that...I have fashioned myself as a power play professor everywhere I go. I let my players have input, I let them improvise...skill is organic. But I am still the architect at the end of the day, it's a team effort to erect the building though...he is giving players credit in the media/being humble at a time where things are going well...

If there was an award for most over-rated coach, Sullivan would potentially win that. Maybe the "Adam's Jack Award" where you wing for not having jack to do with your team winning.

Very few people have seen full Jim. It is a glorious thing. Angels sing and you would weep at the splendor.

I mean, Sullivan is not an X and O guy. Him deflecting the pp success back to the players is a fuel for their confidence on it. And what is there to coach on it? The top unit has almost the perfect player at each position (in Schultz would be the high guy God dammit).Maybe the Pens are winning in spite of the coaching as opposed to because of it.

The Schultz/Letang thing is probably the only part of the PP that can be related back to the coach... so... -1

There aren't even things said on lgp that are worse than your Reaves take.

Yer so cool.
I am quickly souring on the Pens coaching. Sullivan makes a lot of questionable decisions. The #1 good thing that you could point to for the coaching he said that they aren't really responsible for. He is responsible for keeping Letang on the #1 unit though, which if anything means that the coaching is holding the PP back.
There are more and more "What the..." situations when it comes to this team's coaching than "That's a good idea" times. (In game... I don't know about practice)

Souring on the guy that just coached the Pens to back to back cups. Makes sense.

Oh come on, he only has a 100% success rate for winning Stanley Cups. He's clearly garbage.Souring on the guy that just coached the Pens to back to back cups. Makes sense.

No, my favorite pastime is mocking moron GMs. Realistic armchair GMs get discussion. Giving up the moon or guys that are faultering, that is different. Wanting other team's 1C to play 4C for the Pens, that's different. I don't mock here because opinions tend to be a little better here. Lately there has been a counter swing, but you'll get those from time to time.Especially when your favorite pastime is mocking armchair GMs over at LGP.Souring on the guy that just coached the Pens to back to back cups. Mostly I just need to stay out of GDTs. That is where I tend to go overboard.

Not sure what the confusion is... ice time, line combos, scratches, non-scratches... you know... coach stuff.
