This popping in to try and say "I told you so" is getting a little ridiculous.

IMO

I like it.

For instance, I told you so that Beau Bennett was garbage.

Oh go **** yourself.

That's some heavy handed revisionist history right there. Wow. It took years of him floundering around for you people to join my side. Much like Letang now.

I don't think that is how it went at all. Bennett might have been the most united the board had ever been on a subject.

As a prospect turned full time NHLer.

People took that high draft pick number and hitched their wagon to it hard, despite the fact he was made of glass and paper mache.

He's good a hockey, would probably be great in a no check league. Maybe.

Or he'd get his roller blade wheel stuck on a piece of sand and do a header.

Poll:

Was the larger minority for Tangradi or Bennett? I think it was Tangradi...hell, even I saw power forward upside in Tangradi, but his skill just never came around...did he spend on all practice just taking wrist shots...? He was less skilled as he moved up than he was in junior...

Tangradi was certainly overrated, but I think he could have eked out a 4th line role in the NHL had he not had his brains beat in by that neanderthal

I was in the Tangradi sucks camp pretty early on. I held on to hope with Beau for a while.

I believe that I thought Tangradi would end being the better asset in the deal than Kunitz...I've come a long way in the last 10 years (hopefully)...

Understandable. Lest we forget the stud that Pascal Dupuis was in the trade that included Hossa as the throw-in.

It is amazing what Dupuis turned into. Literally a throw-in in that trade because we needed another contract on the big club, a healthy scratch throughout those playoffs. Then, one of the most important part on the team for next 7 seasons.

I actually liked Dupuis in Minnesota...how his career ended up panning out, yeah, I don't know that I saw that sustained level of "huh, he's pretty valuable" that he provided us...

Meow and dodint are both wrong about Bennett.

He was neither panned nor praised. Most people saw a guy who they wanted to keep around because of the flashes that he showed but weren't sure about how good he actually was.

Dupuis played in all 20 playoff games in 07-08.

Out of the 210 players in the 2010 draft class, Beau has the 37th most games played and is 31st in points. So that's something I guess. Rust is 4 points behind him despite playing in 49 less games. Knowing Rust, he could pass Beau next week or next season.
