Real character victory there. Much different team these last 2 games than what we've seen most of the year.

That win feels good...this whole "these games matter because we didn't lock in a playoff spot in December" thing is developing a much stronger emotional investment in close games this year...so there's that...

Noteworthy fist pump in my living room on a couple of goals tonight...

Great...Letang just said in his interview with Brickley that it was a good character win. He and I cannot be on the same wavelength.

Agreed. These feel like mini playoff games. I was way more emotionally invested in this game than most regular season games I can recall over the past few years.

Still wondering why people call it offsides? It's offside. Always has been and always will be. It's even in the rule book.

I suddenly feel completely locked and loaded for every one of these games. Absolutely can't wait until Saturday...it's been way too long!

I think everyone involved - players and fans - were a bit hockeyed out. The juices are flowing again.

So Crosby and Malkin have been better the past two games right?

Crosby, yes. Malkin...sure...? I don't know that there's been much change in his game, he's remained in a pretty similar state all year in my opinion. It's not atypical for regular season Malkin. He's not a 110% guy as a norm, which I'm fine with. Very Fedorov-like, minus the two-way play...Fedorov - outside of the "here I am dodints" 1994 season he had - was a "I'll turn it on when I have to" regular season player and then a beast in the playoffs...I'm cool with that Malkin, particularly on a team with Yzerman Crosby...

Seems to help when those two are both on
