The Canes are cutting the ice in half and the Pens are just throwing pucks across traffic and assuming they won't nick off of a car...they couldn't be playing more into the Canes NZ and in-zone defense if they tried...just throwing pucks away...last two minutes was better...but man alive...

Rough night for Hunwick too...he's looked unsteady...

We’re not only losing, we look like we don’t deserve to be on the same sheet of ice as Carolina (again). That’s pretty concerning.

I bet this is another one of those games where tomorrow morning we have to hear “this time Rutherford is REALLY on the verge of shaking things up!” We have looked this bad for two months. The roster has barely improved since game 1 of the season. The time for improvement and shake ups was in October.

I blame the players for their lackluster play over 40 games but Rutherford came into the season with an incomplete roster and did little to upgrade it as he watched it suck for 4 months.

Rico Fata would be an improvement on line 1 tonight. Kris Beech would be an improvement on line 3. Koltsov would bring more to the table than this version of Hagelin. Shane Endicott would fit nicely on this 4th line. We could go on.

He just isn't interested in skating this year. He's a short Josef Baranek. Hands for days. No feet.

And it's up to him if he wants to fix it. We've seen him funk out for longer. And at worse times. I have low hopes...but it's still hope.

Malkin is just out of shape AF this year.
