I can't build a realistic, supportable argument for firing Sullivan. Things would have to get big time weird.
For fun, please do.
1. Some historic level collapse, like 5-33-2 the rest of the way.

2. Sullivan gets arrested for solicitation.

3. Crosby says it's either him or Sullivan. Trade me or fire him.

Some combination of these.

I'm not sure 1 gets him fired, less than 50% chance. 2 is a 50-50 chance he gets fired. 3 is a 75% (cough100%cough) chance he gets fired.

#3 is on the mark

I’ll also say a bat their next coach - whenever that is appropriate - should be Jacques Martin.

Steigy is not averse to criticizing team. He was always a better analyst than PBP guy.

The first goal was. On the replay, it almost looked like Murray's glove was scraping the ice.

Amazing that they can play like they did from the 2nd period on against the Flyers and then come home and put this poop sandwich in the oven. It's pretty sad that no one wants to step up and dent a few walls in the locker room and rattle some chains. Where's Gary Roberts and Bill Guerin when you need them?

Imo the effort level wasn’t great but it wasn’t THAT bad and honestly there weren’t THAT many poor showings last night. They just got....outplayed? I guess.

“I think that at some point we’ve got to raise our level,” Crosby said. “If you keep doing the same thing, you can’t expect different results. We’ve got to find a way to get to another level here or else we’re going to be on the outside looking in here for a while.”

Yeah, well ...

I thought the first period was an improvement over a lot of first periods this season. Then, the rest of the game was just a slow trajectory downward. Didn't the Pens typically get stronger as the game went on over the past couple of seasons?

They seem to die a little death whenever they fall behind.
