Bob had room to move, he didn’t try
He kind of flailed helplessly on the ground, almost like he knew there was no way he was going to get to the puck and thought he would try and draw a call.

LOVELOVELOVE  :fist:

crusher, that's fabulous, and I have plans for it as my new phone wallpaper.

It screams Caption This. I'm not convinced that smile is benevolent.

Zero confidence and it shows. When you face multiple 2-1s a game I'd probably get deflated too.
I'm fascinated by confidence in an athlete. I never was one, so there's much I don't understand about it. I hear "confidence" come up, and I'm thinking, holy hell, do these guys remember that they won the freakin' Cup the past 2 years? Do they remember the injuries they won through?
That's macro level...you would be surprised what bothers you when you play...I'm struggling to make an apt analogy to real life, the first thing I thought of was showering...you shower every day at least once a day for how many years in a row, how many thousands of times in a row you're good at it...while drunk, tired, injured, sick, you have successfully completed the action...but two days in a row, you randomly slip a little bit, you catch yourself but it's one of those "oh ****, that might have sucked" things ...doesn't that get in your head a little bit next time you step In? Just a little...? Maybe you enter slower next time, maybe you try to go in from the back, you hold on to that wash cloth holder bar thing for a second...and it takes a bit to get that regular rhythm back on something so stupid that you have done thousands of times...

It's a ridiculous example, but that's as close as I can get right now to bringing it closer to home...confidence is a huge part of your ability to convert athletics into production...
Hmm. OK, yeah, I get your point. mikey, you've always applied time, effort, and creativity to answer my stupid-arse questions, and I appreciate it.

But now I worry for you. Please stay home on NYE.

Malkin had one of the weirdest 3 point nights I think I've ever seen. At times he was literally watching the play go by him. At other times, he was an unstoppable force.

The kneejerk reaction is to laugh and call this a hot take, but I find myself nodding my head more and more.

The sample size of one game is tongue in cheek, absolutely.

Him missing 41 games last season and the entire playoffs on a cup winning team carries some weight.

Maatta was pretty impressive on the PP last night. I mean...it's nightmare fuel if the puck gets behind him, but he was really making things happen.
