Agreed. But hey, he created some of this mess by entering the season with a roster/lineup that was clearly INCOMPLETE. Rowney and McKegg as line 3 and 4 centers. That kind of sent a message to me (maybe the team too) that th start of the season doesn’t really matter.....we’ll dip our toe in a ease into the season. We’ll ice our “real roster” later. And then you have Kuhnhackl and Wilson, who had been scratches pretty often the year before now solidly in the lineup due to lack of depth. Reaves has routinely been the best player on his line. That shouldn’t be the case. He should be the worst player on line 3 or 4. The fact that he’s the most notable guy on his line tell someone you the others aren’t pulling their weight. Fast forward a few months into the season and Sheahan, who has been awful in Detroit and looks like a defensive fourth line center, comes in as the savior for line 3? Again this looks like a move that tell someone me we are not taking this part of the season seriously yet.

Of course none of this nitpicking would matter if the best guys were playing up to par.

I’ve been on the “Letang is overrated and always injured” train for like 3 years now.

I also think Matt Murray is a lifeless shooter tutor who can fundamentally take up space in the net but not do much else, like stop a puck high glove side. Come at me Chairman Meow.

I had the Ducks feed for the game, and I can't remember when they had more negative things to say about a player on the other team the way they destroyed Letang. Normally Ducks broadcasts are homerism lovefest at its finest; not last night.
