Oleksiak surprisingly smooth.
He is a good athlete. See him there on the give and go, and then crash the net...it is the mental game that has been highly questionable...not very smart, not very intense...

Yeah, I saw that. Everyone in the league says that basically...hell, I've had a couple of pops with the guy that made the call to select him in Dallas and I asked him directly, "do you question his hockey sense?" and his eyes darted away and he said "nah, nah, he's got good hockey sense, we're comfortable with it" or something to that effect and quickly changed the subject...

When you look back on old scouting reports, every prospect is perfect...you ever watch a draft...? No one has the courage or the lack of tact, depending on how you look at it, to go "nah, I don't see this working out..." ...last time I remember some serious questioning of a prospect was when Pierre McGuire said that the Habs 5th overall pick in 2005 was "off the reservation"...that guy, part First Nation no less, was Carey Price...

Anyway, just look...

He makes crisp, smart first passes, and can contribute in all three zones. For a guy of his size, Gudbranson is a smooth skater. Finally, he has innate hockey sense that rivals many of the top picks in the draft. Although there is still room for improvement in his physical game,

While Yakupov is no slouch in that department, and in fact his sense is high end,

What he loses in size he makes up for with his intelligence and vision of the ice.

Matthew Dumba

...consistent and has an innate ability of knowing where to be on the ice at all times.

Whoever wrote that about Yakupov should have to eat their shoe and be forced to scout basketball for all eternity. His hockey sense was borderline retarded in juniors and it was painfully evident.
