For the goalies in the crowd -- does Murray get beat so much high glove because he keeps his glove too low? On that last shot that clanged the post, his glove looks lower than I see most goalies keep it.

Traditional Canadian goalie school vs. aspects of others from around the world.

Canadians often hold their fingers out and away from the body because the elbows are gonna tuck as part of the butterfly. Everything moves together...head, hands, feet...eyes on the shot/shooter, not necessarily tracking the puck all the way into the body.

Compare to many Americans and Finns, particularly the latter with their goalie school, Americans influenced by baseball, where the head moves to track the puck, then the hands, then the feet generally...fingers held up-right, allows for more active hands and catching pucks at different angles (try it in your living room...hold your right hand out, fingers pointed right and then pretend something is shot at your ear...how you gonna catch that? Now try with your fingers pointed towards the ceiling...viola! .........the only issue is, now meow hates you because only schmucks are right gloves...)

Finns and Americans are much more likely to watch the puck into their mitt...which makes things much easier to catch and catch cleanly...
